Cancellation and Refund Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

1. Default policy: non-refundable

Unless the organizer states a different policy on the tournament's registration page, tournament entries booked through e4e5.in are non-refundable once payment is confirmed. This is shown clearly before you pay.

2. Organizer-defined refund policy

Some organizers set a custom refund policy for their tournament (for example, a refund window before a cutoff date). Where that applies, it is shown on the tournament page and takes precedence over the default above.

3. Exceptional refunds

Regardless of the stated policy, the following are treated as exceptional cases and are eligible for a refund:

  • A duplicate payment for the same registration
  • Payment received after the section or tournament had already closed or reached capacity
  • The organizer rejects or does not approve the entry (e.g. a declined fee waiver)
  • The tournament is cancelled by the organizer

4. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically reflect within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank. Refunds are currently processed manually by the platform once a case above is confirmed.

5. What isn't covered

Change of mind, not being able to attend, or disqualification for a rule violation during the event are not grounds for a refund unless the organizer's stated policy says otherwise.

6. How to request a refund

Contact the tournament organizer first, since they control approval for their event. If you can't reach them or believe you qualify for an exceptional refund above, contact us — see Contact us — with your registration reference code.
